This design represents the future for young people. The future in which we make life just a little bit easier. This design shows what I see for the future. A shoe that you will only have to buy once that changes color when you swipe the shoe or if you like a different color or pattern you can scan it to match your outfit. This shoe would only be the beginning. We could focus on bigger, more important things to make better for the future. My thinking process for this invention was thinking what I love and what I usually struggle with. I love shoes but I don’t have the time to buy new shoes or I don’t have the right shoes to match an outfit. So, what if I didn’t have to buy many shoes? It would be easier to buy my favorite brand and just swipe or scan the color I want! Life would be so much easier and I would defiantly be happy for the future.
I think that in our future there will be so much more advanced technology than there is now. That's how friends and family communicate now, with technology. We use our phones and computers to check up on people we love. With technology we make important everyday things in life easier. Like cars that go really fast that takes us to work and school. Cars and busses are also technology. People that work together and use teamwork to create a better place might pass it on. I think that buy trying to make the world better there might be world peace and equality.
Ms. Schumann helped me figure out how to make trees with cardboard paper. I was very happy with how the trees came out and I'm very excited to see the end result. After I made the trees I started the paper mache process. It is very time consuming because you have to take very tiny pieces of paper towel so when it dries it won't be so wrinkled. I have to do that for the snowmans and trees. When I finish I will paint them and make them look like Christmas!
I had problems with my artwork at first. I was concerned they wouldn't stay up and they wouldn't look snowmans. Ms. Schumann helped me make sure they stayed up my taping them to the board I am using to make the ground filled with "snow". I took a step back and realized just making the snowmans would make it look to boring and lonely. I needed to add more and had the idea to add trees to the background. Now I had to figure out how to make the trees.
